This year formalised an important addition to Gulf Harbour Marina and the marine industry in general.

A new company "Gulf Harbour Refits Ltd" was formed from a unique, professional team of Marine Industry tradesmen who are dedicated to ensuring that quality, cost effective work is done on water craft in the Gulf Harbour area. The aim is to offer cost effective high quality work to those in the marine community in order to safeguard the vessel owner's investments. We are tradesmen, qualified to ensure that you are getting the premium job, for a fair price.

Introducing: Stan Collett
Managing Director of "Portrush Holdings Ltd." And "Safety Afloat Ltd" Stan is well known for his skills as Master, and Engineer for over thirty years throughout the Pacific.

His commercial years on tugs, salvage teams and dredging to high powered 37 metre catamarans, wavepiercers or the impressive "Jet Raider", as captain or chief engineer has given him experience operating in most Pacific countries, and the qualifications of a dual role, so difficult to find in today's environment.

As founding owner of Marine Systems, and "Portrush Holdings Ltd." ("We rush from port to port" slogan) He is often sent to many situations to offer advice and expertise. As an "owners rep" you wouldn't find a more genuine partner.
The integration of these two well known company's form the extremely diverse baseline which we use in the multitude functioning systems within today's vessels.

Project management, consultation and advice require years of understanding not only the issues and the remedies, but of actually "working" the equipment and vessels. To many clients it is simply "The Solution Finder."

Stan also owner of "Safety Afloat Ltd," brings a new dimension into efforts for safe guarding the boating public in New Zealand.

As an "A.P." for the "Maritime Safety Authority" in New Zealand he brings with him knowledge and requirements for commercial vessels under part 40 of the maritime rules.
